Odd...the pool flag was stiff in the breeze, but the indoor weather station indicated that the anemometer wasn't moving at all. Had that pesky Passion Flower vine grabbed it again?
I got out a ladder and inspected it, and sure enough - the vine's tendrils prevented any movement of the anemometer's arms. The cups spun in the breeze when I unwrapped the plant, and the wind indicator inside displayed 9mph gusts.
