"..IF THEY WOULD ONLY LET ME DANCE"

This is my grandmother Clark, in a photo taken in 1952 (with grandson Jimmy Clark in her lap) - and this is the way I remember her. She would pass away at the age of 77 five months after this photo was taken.

As a teenager in the last years of the 19th century...
