In the top photo's 3D view, the Columbus Science Laboratory, part of the International Space Station, is seen after attachment to the Harmony module. The Columbus module was built in Turin, Italy - as were two other modules on the ISS.
An international partnership of space agencies provides and operates the elements of the ISS. The principals are the space agencies of the United States, Russia, Europe, Japan and Canada.
