Winter Trees - Points Of The Compass

EAST-This cold morning, a neighbor's bamboo and palms are silhouetted against the rising Sun.
WEST-Our visiting hawk makes noise in a chinaberry tree.
NORTH-Three squirrel nests are exposed in the same sweet gum tree.
SOUTH-Next door, an orchid tree is about to burst forth in it's annual splendor.
...all this from our yard

Where's the sweet gum tree?

The sweet gum is actually a little West of North - opposite of "Slater's" back yard (note the "burr" seed pods still on the tree....)
