It Would Sound A Little Flat...=:o)

The metal shoe horn above is the type that, at one time, was given away with every new pair of shoes purchased. Often with advertising - as were the "church keys " we blogged about earlier - they were simply a piece of stamped and formed steel.
Decades earlier, they were often made from horn - hence their name...
