Giants Falling

The bronze nameplate implies permanence, but the Sears store at the West Oaks Mall we visited yesterday is soon to close. Sears is closing stores throughout the U.S., as is their parent company KMart. 
100 years since the 1908 catalog above was published (check out the stereo box cameras for $4.95!), the companies struggle in the present business environment. Locked now in a weird corporate embrace, they are probably going down together.
