Cardinals have had a bad track record with nests in the yard, and Mockingbirds haven't done much better. The nest box on the north gable referred to in this 2009 post was used successfully by Great Crested Flycatchers (I had made it for Screech Owls =:o)Brownbird - July 2nd 2009 2021

This particular Cardinal nest in 2009 was in the Key Lime tree..
I got that tree in Brandon at Home Depot and it was full of limes at the store. It still had most of them by the time it got to Orlando
