FRESH AIR (COOLED)

I finally crossed paths with my neighbor, who has completely restored a 1963 Karmann Ghia (it's a gem!).
After chatting, I snapped a series of "cha cha" photos for today's post.

Dual carbs in a '63? I didn't expect that!

That's owner Claude's mod - he wanted to travel on I-4 when necessary (but states the car is not really meant to move at those speeds, and I agree =:o)

Sweet ride. Dual Weber carbs (or a reasonable facsimile, and it looks like the engine is dual port intake with centrifugal advance on the distributor, so upgraded over original)....a long ago teenager's dream to add a few horsepower to a '71 (removal of the AC compressor was a HUGE plus for attempting to constantly motor at highway speeds).
