We replaced our old Snapper mower at the beginning of last season, and I placed it by our curb with a "Free" sign on it - it disappeared within an hour (there's a teenager living nearby with penchant for fixing up and selling things).
Sure enough, just a week later, I spotted him rolling the mower up his drive to a waiting trailer.
