BIG CHICK

We spotted a Great Blue Heron's nest 50'+ high in cypress trees on the shore of Lake Virginia this last week (behind Cornell Museum).
Boy, are these chicks big (and noisy)!

There was a wide, shady cypress tree that became a rookery on Lake Toho one year that had dozens of Great Blue Herons nesting in it. Incredibly noisy.
