Saturn, Venus and Jupiter put on a little show in the southern sky earlier this week (what appears to be Jupiter in the second photo is actually Antares,at the center of the Scorpius constellation).
Looking at the size of Antares in the last image, we can be thankful that it's 500 light years away!

*1000's of stars have been named: Shaula, at Scorpio's tale, means "She Who Stings"...

It's been very cloudy, and cool here in the panhandle. Missing out on a few of the sky shows.
