Our little small rodent catch & release trap has been featured in the blog before, and is shown here next to a hammer for size reference (we once captured a small rat here and released him at Turkey Lake Park).
.
I spotted a much larger trap (5 ft long) at a Tractor Supply we stopped by yesterday - the opposite side of the label you see above, by the way, features a coyote.
For wild hogs, a much sturdier trap is required, and these run about $400...

I found a dead rat on in the side yard when I mowed last week. I've found bits and pieces of rats before (maybe eaten by a hawk or owl?), but this is the first whole one that I found. I'm seeing more and more dead coyotes on the roads...
How old is that hammer?
As old as our house, circa 1970...=:o)
