How much of an optical zoom on the new one? The only thing I miss about not carrying a camera is the optical. The other side of the coin is that I always have a phone with me, so I always have a camera.
10X optical, 40X digital in camera. Telephoto is a mixed blessing, as I'm used to a viewfinder in that mode (hard to compose in sunlight) - but, it fits in my pocket...=:o)
