THE ORIGINALS

The stereo anaglyph photograph was originally a stereo pair in an old magazine article on stereography (I combined the photos to make this image).
The photo was taken in 1890, when hula troupes were beginning to entertain on the islands and in the U.S. - the 1921 advertisement is from an Ohio newspaper.
