Paul sent me an article yesterday about the birth of the Glenn L. Martin operation in Orlando, a defense contractor where both Uncle Peter and I worked in the early 60's (interestingly, I ran across an old cable clamp from my time there when I was cleaning my studio this week).
I initially worked on the mechanical assembly of the computers housed in the huts of Martin's portable radar and missile fire control system (BIRDIE), then shifted over to assembly of the Pershing missile.
