A PLANT MYSTERY SOLUTION MAY BE CLOSE

When I spotted the same plant growing in our new neighbor's modest vegetable garden and found out they were a Chinese family, I agreed with David that our alien-to-the-yard plant was probably some form of Broccoli Raab ("Gai Lan" in our neighbor's garden).
How did the seeds arrive next to our bird feeder? A little birdie might know   =:o)
