A Pileated Woodpecker is a rare sight in our neighborhood: I photographed this female very early yesterday morning in our yard. These birds are not migratory, which means that there is probably a nest within a reasonable distance (I'm guessing nearby Shadow Bay Park) . Brownbird - February 10th
