IT'S ALL IN THE FEET

We had an unusual daytime guest occupying the window refuge in our utility room this week: a gecko (top photo). Even in silhouette, it's easy to distinguish geckos from anoles (bottom photo) - just check the feet.
How can geckos walk across smooth walls and ceilings with ease...have you got an hour and a cup of strong coffee (Bill Nye could explain it better)??
