Unlike the Great Crested Flycatcher pair (center photo) that raised broods in our Screech Owl house in 2009 and 2010, we had no permanent residents this Spring (other than assorted wasps) in the cedar house I made a few years ago. While I had the extension ladder out this week to hang Christmas lights from our front gable (always an adventure), I decided to downsize to another homemade birdhouse*

*I've seen a pair of Wrens around this last month =:o)
