Many claim that this is a Southern expression, but I heard it growing up in Ohio, too. In any case, it's an idiom for getting a haircut. Today - as I have for years - I'll get mine cut without ever leaving the house. People always stick with a stylist they like, and I've been hanging with mine like forever =:o)
