Silent Hunters

It's no secret that I have a fascination for WWII submarines. So it was, on the way to a Massachusetts wedding years ago, that I "found" myself passing by the Groton shipyard of the Electric Boat Company. Two nuclear submarines were under construction in the yard, and the WWII relic - the Gato Class SS-246 Croaker - rested in the water nearby. The 1/72 scale model Gato Class submarine I built resides in my Atelier (Man Cave).
History Note: The Gato Class submarines were monster war machines, over 300' feet in length.
