HISTORY WITH A TWIST

Q.-What in heaven's name is the Parliament House's (Orlando's gay resort) phone number doing in my dear sweet mother's spiral note pad?

A.- Parliament House wasn't always a gay resort. When it opened in 1962, it was an above average hotel, located next door to the trailer court where my parents resided. Out of town guests could always be shuttled there when visiting Orlando (the focus changed by the mid-70's, as business declined).
