THE NEW SCHOOLHOUSE

Our Grandfather Clark served as a Carpenter Foreman on several commercial buildings in Wisconsin during the first decades of the 20th century.
The new schoolhouse in Radisson, Wisconsin - a small town in the upper part of the state - is one example. Built in 1909, it replaced the smaller schoolhouse next to it in the photograph.

*Two things you might notice in the photo: the old schoolhouse has an actual school bell, and - no wires! - (no electricity)

I noticed the guys sitting on the roof of the new schoolhouse. A nice 3 story plunge if they weren't careful!
