AN EERIE, TEMPORARY REPRIEVE

Although we've experienced several hurricanes that have made landfall in Florida in this new century (see Andrew, above), the one I remember most is Donna - 56 years ago.
Donna's eye came directly over Orlando, and I ventured out to experience the temporary, false calm.
