LION'S DEN

We've highlighted Ant Lions before - those predator insects that construct "Star Wars" type sand traps and are the bane of ants everywhere. Here, under a small Sago Palm by our pool deck, I noticed recently an entire colony of the little devils. Shielded somewhat from the elements, they're able to spend less time on trap construction and more time on...well, you know.
