Out Of Bounds

Biking the trails at Turkey Lake Park this week, I noted that the staff had cordoned off every known Gopher Tortoise den with perimeter poles and yellow tape, reminiscent of a crime scene. Not a bad analogy, as it's now a crime to disturb these threatened Florida natives.
Just outside the park, however, I came across this stray, who had dug a den close to the sidewalk.
