Actually, this is probably one of the things that you're better off not knowing - like how bees make honey - but what the heck: read the Wired article and enlighten yourself!
They've been making the Queen Anne candies since 1921, and they're still being made in Chicago, where the company got it's start.
Experience has taught me to purchase the dark chocolate variety early during the holiday season...they go fast =:o)
