Outside The Talent Envelope

I can assure you, any artistic attributes I may have do not extend into the area of sign painting - that's an art unto itself. I was somewhat surprised then, doing these family slide conversions, at the number of signs I had made over the years - I posted just three examples here:
The "Garfield" kitten sign worked like magic many years ago - I also made an "Odie" one years later to place on a bulletin board in a high traffic area at work, when we had a plethora of puppies to find good homes for.
The weathered "Honey For Sale" sign was made for Grandpa Setzer, of course - we'll post his beekeeping adventures (and mine, perhaps) in the future.
Last - but certainly not least - Uncle Pete's sailboat. This would have been much less difficult if only I could have placed the craft vertically, bow down (making the painting surface horizontal to the ground - no "runs"! =:o)
.
Brownbird - house painting, now, will fall within my artistic envelope =:o) - October 25th
