The "ghost" cricket, above, would appear at first to be an albino - until you notice that the eyes do have pigment. As it turns out, he's just moulted, and his color will return shortly.
.
I've placed my cricket population in a large habitat outside while one adult male auditions in the studio to provide future ambiance. If he fails to make the cut, he'll be released into the wild, where his life expectancy will be reduced from months to weeks.

Those American Cricket Idol auditions are tough! =:o)

How's you pet roach and her offspring doing? Hopefully everything's going smashingly!
Sadly, in a cruel twist of fate, she's now residing - still in the clear plastic tennis ball tube - at the Orange County Landfill, surrounded by tons of food she has no way of getting to.
How's that for "Catch & Release"? =:o)
